Omnis Studio allows you to create powerful Web and Mobile applications for all types of industries and use cases, in a shorter time and with fewer resources than many other tools. We also provide great support to help you get started on your development project, as well as FREE Online training in the Omnis Academy to help you get your project done in even quicker time – the training we provide covers all the main areas of app development, and the techniques you learn can be easily adapted to your needs and project requirements.
The training available in the Omnis Academy starts with the “Omnis Studio Basics” course, which as the name suggests, introduces you to the basic concepts of designing an application, like creating a library and classes, as well as showing you the main tools in Omnis Studio 10.2 – indeed, if you are new to Omnis Studio, or you’re upgrading from an older version of Omnis, then the “Basics” course is the ideal place to start with Omnis! The academy courses then cover other important areas including database connections, menus, web services (REST), and mobile apps – the full range of courses includes:
- “Omnis Studio Basics” – learn how to create example remote forms, with a UI to support web and mobile devices.
- “Omnis Studio Database Connectivity” – find out how to connect to a SQL server database, using table classes, the Omnis Query builder, and session pools.
- “Developing a Messenger App in Omnis Studio” – learn to create a messenger app using a “speech bubble” UI with push notifications.
- “Implementing a menu system” – create a logon for a web application, create a role based access system, create a menu system based on these access rights.
- “Implementing a REST Service Client and Server” – learn how to access a RESTful interface (API), plus you can allow your Omnis app to provide data for other applications.
