    Dear $all,

I really think that Omnis has an absolutely excellent online documentation, and this forum is a great support for issues that go beyond the online documentation.

However, sometimes I have to find out things the hard way by spending hours after hours of trying out why things are not working as described in the online documentation.

One example: I was doing work on API calls to another web based service, so I found the corresponding section in the online docs:
    https://www.omnis.net/developers/resources/onlinedocs/ExtendingOmnis/01webservices.html#methods

There, I THOUGHT that I would find the complete description of the HTTPClientWorker object:

However, the complete description was later, under:

    https://www.omnis.net/developers/resources/onlinedocs/ExtendingOmnis/07webcomms.html#methods

… and that solved my problem more or less instantaneously…

Now one could say: RTFM – if I had read or at least searched the whole docs, I would not have wasted my time … but maybe a small hint/link in the docs could have saved me… and others.

BUT to cut a long story short: How about creating a direct channel in this forum to the persons responsible for writing the docs where forum members can suggest areas of further improvement of the online documentation?

    Best regards

    Uwe

    Hi Uwe,

This is what the IDEAS section is all about. If you have any ideas to improve either Omnis Studio or the documentation please feel free to post it there. Those topics will be reviewed regularly from the team in UK.

    Best,

    Andreas
