QMED / Schwerdtner Medizin-Software GmbH has been developing billing and documentation solutions for medical practices, hospitals, clinics and medical laboratories for many years. Their new Omnis Mobile solution drastically simplifies management of Aeromedical Certificates of Fitness. SNF Group is a French chemical company and a world leader in the production of water soluble polymers (polyacrylamides), with total sales c. €2.5 billion (2017), 5,700 employees worldwide and a market share of 47%. Omnis is used throughout the whole company for order taking, planning, production, quality control laboratory, R&D, transport and shipment of products. A very useful aspect is the cross-platform capability of Omnis, so SNF only needs to deploy a single library, and it can be used directly on both Macs and PCs. The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) near Geneva in Switzerland is the largest and most powerful particle accelerator in the world, and includes a large Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector which sits at one of the four collision points in the detector. Omnis developer Dr. Michael Hufschmidt worked with the Institute for Experimental Physics, at the University of Hamburg, to create an Omnis solution to manage test data from the CMS.
