And in other News…

Omnis Academy

Omnis adds value to the Omnis community by providing online and classroom-based training free of charge in the Omnis Academy. A new Omnis Academy course went live in January building a new mobile application called Cucina Piccola. The academy includes a step by step guide (a PDF guide available in English & German), and videos for each module.

Omnis on GitHub

We have seen significant interest in the Omnis page on GitHub increasing the number of Omnis Studio repositories and adding value to the Omnis community by enabling developers to re-use Omnis and third-party code in their own applications. Developers that further enhance the repositories can submit the changes to Omnis and a new version can be released to the community. For details please visit https://github.com/OmnisStudio and also Alex Clay’s (Suran Systems Inc) website for a guide to GitHub at http://omnis.ci/: Alex talked about using GitHub with Omnis at our recent US Developer Conference.

Omnis Studio 8.1.5 Release

Omnis Studio 8.1.5 was released earlier this month; there are no substantive new features in Omnis Studio 8.1.5, except for $definelistorrow() to define a list or row variable from a server table, sys(237) which will return an item reference to the method currently being edited, and $numericprecision which allows you to set the precision of numeric variables.
