JS COMPONENTS GALLERY

This app lists most of the JS Components available in Omnis Studio for creating interactive, user-friendly, event- and data-driven web and mobile applications. You can browse through all components, experience examples and learn how they are implemented. And you can download the library for each component directly and use it in your project. Please note you need Omnis Studio version 11.0 or higher to run this app.

WEATHER

The Omnis Weather app is an example of using Omnis as a client to consume a Restful Web Service. This example uses the restful service published by openweathermap.org to provide an overview of the current weather conditions as well as the forecast for the following 4 days. Although the forecasts are frequently updated, the data for a city is cached for 1 hour after initial retrieval from OpenWeatherMap. For more details on how this demo app was created, there is an Omnis Tech Note > available.

CONTACTS

The Omnis Contacts app shows how to build a complete data-driven application using Omnis Studio together with a database. This demo lets you create, edit, and store contact records including names, company details, addresses, phone numbers, profile images and more. You can browse all contacts and learn how the forms and data structures behind the scenes are implemented. The example provides a solid introduction to creating business apps that interact with relational databases in Omnis Studio.

HOLIDAYS

The Omnis Holidays app demonstrates how to build a more advanced workflow application using Omnis Studio. Employees can submit vacation requests, which supervisors can then approve or decline. The app includes a history of all past and processed requests, as well as a calendar view showing who is on leave and when. A major part of this example is its complete authentication system: users can sign in, create a new account, and reset their password using a verification code. This makes the Holidays app an ideal example of how to implement secure user management in Omnis Studio. The underlying data model uses multiple linked database tables, showing how to handle more complex data relationships.

QUIZ

Have some fun with the Omnis Quiz. This Omnis JavaScript demo app has been designed to introduce some of the Omnis Studio features - and to test your knowledge about the latest version. It uses the JavaScrip Client to show you how you can layout your forms and design an application that is accessible on multiple platforms including desktop browsers, tablets and phones. The Quiz questions are about the new features in Omnis Studio 11. To view the sample apps in design mode, start Omnis Studio, click on the Hub option in the Studio Browser, and then click on the Applets option. Alternatively, you can view some of the apps online in the Apps Gallery, which is hosted on an AWS cloud server.
