Dive Deep into Omnis at the EurOmnis Developer Conference 2025

Euromnis 2025

Every year the Omnis Community gathers all in one place to share knowledge, swap code and ideas, find out about all the latest developments in the latest Omnis Studio, meet old friends and new, and generally have a good time while diving deep into Omnis Studio – if that all sounds good, then you really don’t want to miss it!

Omnis Software has always supported its developer community, with a focus on its attendance at the annual developer conferences – we always send key staff to talk about the latest releases, like Omnis Studio 11.2 (release due in 2025), and to share insights about our upcoming products and business plans. We are therefore delighted to support and attend EurOmnis 2025, which will once again be in October in The Netherlands.

Conference sessions and the agenda are being finalized as we speak, but it is guaranteed that there will be a vast array of in-depth Omnis related sessions, fascinating use case studies, and many chances to interact and swap knowledge with other developers in each session – these are not lectures, each session is a chance for you to delve deep into a topic and ‘learn by doing’ collaboratively many valuable coding skills and practices. The speakers and sessions confirmed so far include:

  • Doug Easterbrook, Arts Management Systems, Canada & conference committee member will present 2 topics: Time Zone Awareness and how to use Postgres features to implement explicit time zone awareness across your systems; Text Search & AI Options will start with the SQL and build upon them to enable searches using semantics, phonetics, plus AI search features using PGAI extension in Postgres.
  • Stefan Diefenbacher, Software Developer at Profile GmbH, Switzerland: Azure Document Intelligence – AI and Document Data Extraction, exploring the ability to use AI on any printed, scanned, PDF or electronic document to translate the content into data fields and import it into your database.
  • Silvan Baach, Software Developer at Profile GmbH, Switzerland: Post deployment error detection & information gathering using Sentry an open source tool.

More speakers and session topics will be announced on the EurOmnis website and on our social media, and the conference promises to be an exciting, not-to-be-missed experience that the organizers claim that “an idea learned at Euromnis often more than pays for conference attendance” – this will be a highlight in the Omnis calendar, so we strongly encourage you to check out the details of this year’s conference and sign up as soon as possible.
