Sybase Object DAMs for Omnis Studio 4.2/4.3      - November 2007
Open Client 12.5 compatible DAMs

IMPORTANT NOTE

The supplied Sybase Object DAM (DAMSYBSE) replaces the Sybase DAM installed by default with Studio if- and only if, your client applications will be connecting via Sybase Open Client version 12.5 or lower.  You should NOT install these DAMs if you will be using Open Client 15.0 or higher.

To install, you should close Omnis, then decompress the file and copy the resulting DAM into the Studio/XCOMP folder.

Please note that the DAMs where provided with Studio 4.2 & 4.3 are compiled and linked against Sybase Open Client version 15.0. which provides client libraries with names different to those provided with earlier versions of open Client.
In particular, the original DAM is dependent upon the following Open Client 15.0 libraries; libsybct.lib and libsybcs.lib. (In earlier version of Open Client, these libraries were named libct.lib and libcs.lib respectively).

The DAMs provided here have been built against Open Client version 12.5 and should be used only if your client applications will be connecting using Open Client 12.5 or lower.
Conversely, if your client applications will be connecting using Open Client 15.0 (or higher) you should use the DAM/s supplied with Omnis Studio.

DAMs intended for use with Studio 4.2 may not be used with Studio 4.1 owing to compatibility issues.
