Replacement ODBC DAM for Mac OS X (Intel)

Installation and Usage

The supplied ODBC object DAM (damodbc.xxx) replaces the DAM supplied with Omnis Studio and is intended for connection to Sybase SQL Anywhere 10.x servers only.

The SQL Anywhere DAM cannot be used to connect to standard ODBC data sources. 
Thus, it is advisable to store a backup of your original ODBC DAM to be restored later if required. (Do not rename the DAM and leave it in the XCOMP folder or attempt to use both DAMs- as this will cause a conflict). 

You should remove your existing ODBC DAM from the Omnis.app/Contents/MacOS/xcomp folder before copying the replacement DAM to this location. 

Please note that the SQL Anywhere DAM and SQL Anywhere driver components contain Intel-only architecture. Hence the DAM will not load in PPC emulation mode (or if the native architecture isn't Intel).

The SQL Anywhere DAM is not linked against the standard ODBC administration library (libiodbc.dylib). Thus you need to ensure that the required iAnywhre ODBC administration library exists on the standard library search path before the DAM will load.
